Dinraal can drop four items, including [[Dinraal's Scale]], [[Dinraal's Claw]], [[Shard of Dinraal's Fang]], and [[Shard of Dinraal's Horn]]. Dinraal always spawns a fair distance from your current location along his flight path which can make him easy to miss and forces you to wait for him to come within range, but the following farming methods are relatively fast, efficient and 100% reliable:
Dinraal will not start spawning in the world until the [[Seek Out Impa]] Main Quest has been completed or Link has freed the four [[Divine Beasts]]. Once one of these tasks is completed, Dinraal will always spawn whenever the following conditions are met:
* It is between the hours of 7 PM and 7 AM.
* Link is in one of the regions of its flight path.
* Dinraal hasn't already spawned that day.


Some ways along the path west of [[Eldin Great Skeleton]] is a very tall triangular rock (not the smaller curved one, but the larger one further down.) Build a fire at its base and rest until morning. Southeast of this rock is a prominent ledge. Head towards the path leading up to it and Dinraal should spawn in almost immediately. You have plenty of time to get up on the ledge and position yourself for the perfect air shot as the dragon glides by. Collect your body part, relight the campfire, and repeat as needed. The positioning is important: this will not work if you sleep on the ledge. ''Running'' from the triangular rock seems to be necessary to trigger the spawn correctly.
Dinraal will always spawn on its flight path a long distance away from Link and will leave after flying for 5 hours if it hasn't reached the end of its course. It will also leave immediately if Link attacks it.


Dinraal can also be farmed at [[Tanagar Canyon]]. Warp to [[Hebra Tower]] and use the fire in [[Pondo's Lodge]] to rest until morning. Dinraal will spawn just north of the [[Forgotten Temple]] shortly after you regain control. Go east to the canyon's edge and wait for Dinraal to come closer. He will descend into the canyon near [[Salari Plain]] which is when you can land a good shot on him.
Dinraal's flight path begins in the skies high above the [[Spring of Power]], descends into shooting range around the [[Eldin Great Skeleton]], proceeds west along the [[Deplian Badlands]], passes over the [[Forgotten Temple]], descends back into shooting range in [[Tanagar Canyon]] near [[Salari Plain]], and then follows the canyon to its end before returning to the sky.  


Alternatively, warp to [[Shae Loya Shrine]] and use the [[Tabantha Bridge Stable]] to rest until morning. Then, ride your horse straight north alongside the canyon and you should see Dinraal flying low towards [[Tanagar Canyon Course]] as you ride past [[Mount Rhoam]]. Glide out to shoot him. This is possibly the fastest farming spot for Dinraal.
Dinraal can only spawn once a day but since a new day starts at midnight, it is possible to make it spawn twice in one night.


Note that Dinraal may not spawn if you wait at the same location too many times in a row, or during weather. Be careful of Dinraal's fiery aura because if you paraglide too close it may knock you out of the sky.

The most efficient farming spot is one where Dinraal spawns at a low altitude and you can go out to meet it instead of waiting for it to pass by you.

The cooking pot there never goes out even in rain and it's a good spot to place the [[Travel Medallion]] if you have it. Then, ride straight north alongside the canyon and you should see Dinraal coming around the bend in the canyon. Glide out to shoot him. This is the fastest farming spot for Dinraal.
Note that Dinraal may not spawn if you're too close to a campfire or Travel Medallion. This shouldn't be an issue with the above method since you're not waiting for it to pass by.
