The '''Life Tree Fruit''' is a quest item from ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword|Skyward Sword]]''. A round fruit carried by the fully-grown [[Life Tree Seedling]], Life Tree Fruit cures any and all illnesses inflicted on whomever consumes it. [[Link]] must bring one to [[Lanayru (Dragon)|Lanayru]] in order to cure the fatal illness preventing him from singing his part of the [[Song of the Hero]]. Before the hero can cure the ancient Thunder Dragon, he must go back to the past and plant the Life Tree Seedling. Upon returning to the present, he finds that the tree has grown producing a single Life Tree Fruit. If Link takes this fruit to the fatally ill Lanayru, it will instantly cure him. This will allow him access to the [[Thunder Dragon's Lightning Round]] and the part of the Song of the Hero.
