This cave is complex and actually requires using Ascend to fully explore it. The easiest method is to follow the statues that indicate the direction or the clues they give. A more difficult way is just completely exploring the cave (past destroyable rock sections) and you'll eventually come to a room with three raised areas marked by 5, 1, and 3 statues. Ascending next to the 3 statues will lead you to the Barbarian Helm.
Ascending again (from where you entered the room with the chest) will take you to the Bubbulfrog (2541, -1513, -0009).
