With the latest Nintendo Direct happening one week ago, Zelda fans were not given much to hope for in 2015. However, the Super Smash Bros. Fighter Ballot will give enthusiasts a  chance to make sure that the franchise continues to get some attention in one way or another. There are so many amazing characters in this game series to choose from, and we can only hope that many if not all of you will get your votes in by October…

There’s Quicksilver and the Flash. There are Pegasus Boots. There’s even that one jerk who runs in Ocarina of Time. Yet, I’ve never seen someone as fast as this artist named Linvalin. In a mere two minutes, Linvalin is able to sketch and color a beautiful portrait of Midna, who is objectively the best sidekick in the history of The Legend of Zelda.

Seriously, the artists’ hands are flashing on and off the screen. They appear for one frame and then leave. It’s almost as if they are converting hours of work into a minuscule fraction of that time…

Throughout the Legend of Zelda series we meet many characters in the realm of Hyrule that touch our hearts, and others who set incite our rage. Although the main focus of the series itself is our protagonist Link, he meets many on his quest to save Hyrule who spark the fire of inspiration within our hearts…

For a game series centered around a ‘silent protagonist,’ Zelda certainly doesn’t have a shortage of available means of communication. Every game offers some way for the story to be communicated to Link, and the ways people get in contact with him is as creative as it is varied. From Gossip Stones to songs to howling, you can always be sure of a unique way to interact with the people around you. Let’s take a look at a few of…

Each new installment in the storied series can be very different from the last, and yet there is one thread that is a constant throughout all of the main games: the protagonist, Link. He is the hero of every game, the player character in each installment. And it is he who makes The Legend of Zelda my favorite series of video games. But what is it about Link that makes him such an icon?

Of all the games that Link has a companion, who was your favourite? Many Zelda fans, including myself, might say that Midna would be the most witty and fun to work with. In saying this: was Twilight Princess really about Midna being Link’s companion, or was it that Link followed Midna?

A new European promo for Hyrule Warriors is now online! Check out the video above for a cool highlight reel, of sorts, showing off playable characters and awesome action sequences…

Youtube member NintenDaan recently posted a new video showing off the latest Hyrule Warriors addition: Twili Midna. In the video we get to see some of her moves ravaging the battlefield with the mirror of twilight, a gigantic twili hand and even pieces of the battlefield. Jump inside to check it out for yourself.

The Twilight Princess DLC for Hyrule Warriors, which gave us the Postman outfit for Link and the addition of Twili Midna as a playable character, released yesterday, meaning that we can finally get a good look at the different things it adds to the game. We’ve already seen tons of footage of Postman Link, but we still haven’t taken a good look at the way Twili Midna will handle as a character in the game…
