Chill, Study, and Save Hyrule with the Lo-Fi Beats of Zelda & Chill II, Out Now
Posted on November 16 2020 by Emi Curtis
Saving Hyrule can be exhausting, and so can life, especially after a hard day at work. Sometimes it’s nice to just sit back and relax, listen to some music and let your cares just drift away. Thankfully, German beatmaster Mikel has got you covered with Zelda & Chill II, a follow up his 2018 album Zelda & Chill.
Once again teaming up with videogame record label GameChops, Mikel has been teasing the release of another lo-fi hip-hop album full of Zelda remixes for almost a month now. A Vinyl Release campaign is now live where you can pledge to receive a first edition copy of the tracklist. The official album was dropped on YouTube on November 13th to phenomenal applause with some commentators even jokingly calling it “the most anticipated release of all time”.
Once again, the album features remixes from a plethora of Zelda games, totaling 14 tracks in all, including some fan-favorites like “Midna’s Lament” and “Song of Healing.” Rather surprisingly, even The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks gets in on the action with this album along with many other classic favorites. With a run-time just short of 40 minutes long, Zelda & Chill II is a perfect album to just put on the speakers while you go about life or just lounge.
You can check out more of Mikel on his Twitter and YouTube, as well as more video game lo-fi hip-hop on GameChop’s YouTube channel.
