So with awards season now in full swing, let us examine the recently-announced nominees for the 2019 Game Awards. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Nintendo’s flagship fighting game, has been nominated for Game of the Year, along with a handful…

Quality time looks different for each and every family. Some families go out for a picnic or play outdoors, while those with a game system in the household might try to beat the heck out of the next big game together. Nintendo knows that full well, as we can see in their latest commercial for the Switch and Switch Lite systems. Called “My Way”, the commercial features a father helping his daughter play through the Link’s Awakening remake. After beating the…

Nintendo’s fiscal earnings for the period ending on September 30th were recently released, revealing unit totals for the Switch Lite and Link’s Awakening during their first 11 days. The Switch Lite sold approximately 1.95 million units, helping Nintendo land a whopping 4.98 million total Switch sales this half of the fiscal year. For reference, these numbers are up 50% over the 3.19 million units sold in 2018’s first fiscal half. This last season has pushed the total lifetime sales of…

Link’s Awakening on Switch, Link’s triumphant return to Koholint Island, has already been a resounding success. This is based of course on initial sales figures as well as both critical and user reviews. That said, Nintendo is certainly doing their best to celebrate that success. In a brand new trailer released by the beloved developer, Nintendo highlights one of the game’s most interesting characters, Old Man Wise Ulrira. During Link’s adventure on Koholint Island, he’ll encounter several telephone booths that…

Over the past weekend, rapper Kanye West dropped his latest album Jesus is King. And while it’s received a mixed response from critics and fans alike, the record has drawn the attention of Zelda fans due to perceived similarities between one of its tracks and a certain Ocarina of Time classic. A portion of the song “Selah” has been called out by various sources for sounding strikingly similar to the Gerudo Valley theme, as some have asked if Kanye actually…

As gorgeous as it is, Link’s Awakening for the Nintendo Switch isn’t without its flaws. Arguably the most troublesome of these is the ever-dropping frame rate, which has baffled experts since the game released last month. Some players have hoped that developer GREZZO would soon release a patch that would address the issue. It seems these fans will have to wait to see Link’s Awakening’s frame rate issues fixed. The game’s first patch (Version 1.0.1), which released yesterday, is aimed solely…

Most Zelda fans (myself included) love to collect amiibo based on the series. The more detailed figurines can look fantastic on your shelf as a display all of their own. Some amiibo are essential for collecting rare items, weapons, or clothing linked to a certain game. It can be very frustrating for a fan, though, when a specific amiibo they want becomes out of stock. Well, you could be in luck here, as Nintendo UK’s Official Online Store has relisted…
