So, how did everyone like E3? Have any opinions on it? I know I do, but we can talk about that later- let’s get to the Gossip Stone! In A Link Between Worlds, there was the option to rent items if you didn’t have enough rupees to purchase it- however, there’s a catch. Simply renting an item means that if all of Link’s hearts are depleted and you’re greeted with the Game Over screen, all the items you have on…

If everyone thought co-op was the only thing to Tri Force Heroes, think again- it’s been confirmed that there is now a battle mode that goes by the name of ‘The Coliseum’. It can be either 1v1, or a full free-for-all battle (three players total). So now, there’s a little slice of competitiveness in the midst of all the cooperation! For more information, hit the jump! Liam OrthHeyo. My name’s Liam! And I’m a huge Zelda fanatic. Ever since I…

This morning (to our surprise) held the announcement that Hyrule Warriors will soon make its way to 3DS. And just barely afterwards, a video has been published showing the comparison between the 3DS and the Wii U version of Hyrule Warriors, by Nintendo World Report- and you can check it out after the jump! Liam OrthHeyo. My name’s Liam! And I’m a huge Zelda fanatic. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been in love with Zelda’s rich stories and…

A few months ago, Aonuma announced in an update video that Zelda U was not only delayed (so to speak), but also that it wasn’t going to make it to E3 this year. I’m sure the majority of you were all bummed, while maybe a few others accepted the fact that waiting longer will make the game better (I know I’m in that boat). However, regardless of how we all feel of the situation, there is a chance we’re still…

Jeez, Comic-Con is next week? That’s the first time I’ve heard…! Then again, I don’t really keep up with Comic-Con or anything, so I’m not surprised- but I’m sure all of you knew!  So if any of you are going to Comic-Con next month, be sure to stop by the VIZ booth (2813)- they’re offering a free Hylian Shield to anyone who visits!  That’s a pretty sweet surprise, if you ask me.  To read the full tweet, hit the jump…

In Phantom Hourglass, there was an extra little mechanic introduced that allowed the ability to switch between fairies, giving Link the option between one of three special powers. These fairies were known as the Servant Spirits, the guides that Link must find in order to find the Ghost Ship. They’re required to complete the main story line, but they do have the capability to be much more. I’m going to go a bit further into detail with them, explaining what…

In Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, there was a strange item that -depending on where Link obtained it- would give him a different companion for the rest of his journey.  This item was the Strange Flute.  The item gives Link the ability to meet one of three animal companions, which help you throughout the game (you actually need them to complete it, anyways).  Each animal has a different ability than the other, so they all have their uses…

Dorkly is known by many to make comics based off of various franchises, and The Legend of Zelda is no exception. And jeez, they’ve made quite a few of them- some ending with some wacky outcomes. But that’s what makes them so great! Anyways, back in April (not too terribly far back though), Dorkly published a new Zelda comic that shows how much of a heartbreaker Link is, and/or can be- and you can check it out after the jump!…

I’ve talked about Zelda on numerous occasions, whether it’s just to my friends or right here on Zelda Dungeon. But for some reason, until now, one thing I always seem to overlook is The Minish Cap. So after thinking for a second, I thought “Why not talk about the Picori”? So, with that said, the Picori have made an appearance in only one game- The Minish Cap. And as well as I fully understand exactly why that’s the case, I…

Many Zelda fans know the line “Hey, listen!” from Link’s fluttering companion, Navi, in Ocarina of Time. And of course, most fans know that she was one of the most annoying companions in video game history, while I know a few others who would argue against that. So this sparks a debate- during your playthrough(s) of Ocarina of Time, was Navi an utter annoyance, or did you see her as a benefit? Did absolutely any of her phrase loops get…
