Gossip Stone: Will We See Anything Zelda-Related at E3 2015?

A few months ago, Aonuma announced in an update video that Zelda U was not only delayed (so to speak), but also that it wasn’t going to make it to E3 this year. I’m sure the majority of you were all bummed, while maybe a few others accepted the fact that waiting longer will make the game better (I know I’m in that boat). However, regardless of how we all feel of the situation, there is a chance we’re still getting something Zelda-related at E3. But the question is; what might it be…? Beyond this point I’ll talk about why there’s a chance, so if you’d like to check it out, delay no further and hit the jump!

UPDATE: This -of course- could easily be pointing towards Hyrule Warriors on the 3DS. I’m betting on that for now, but there is no telling what else we could see!

With Zelda U not appearing at E3 this year, there was quite a bit of disappointment shared among all Zelda fans. However, there is still a chance we could get something Zelda-related out of E3. In a recent Nintendo Direct (Micro), Bill Trinen stated that during the Nintendo World Championship 2015, there is an announcement to be held, but implied that it was “a secret to everybody.” (at 10:45) Of course, this could easily be taken as a simple joke, due to the video coming straight from Nintendo themselves. But, there’s also the major hint that it is leaning towards a Zelda-related announcement.

One could only guess what this means for Zelda at E3. In addition, games releasing in 2015 and early 2016 will be covered- allowing the chance for Zelda U to appear, if the release window has been set to early 2016 since Aonuma stated otherwise.
