Arrgi are enemies that appear in A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds.[1]

Overview

Arrgi are small, puffy, and parasitic enemies that surround and protect Arrghus,[2] the boss of the Swamp Palace. While they cannot be defeated when floating around the boss, Link can use the Hookshot to pull them off from Arrghus and defeat them one by one.[3] Occasionally Arrghus makes all of the Arrgi come off and spin around the room. Link should run as far away as he can to avoid them. Each Arrgi takes two hits form Link's Master Sword to be defeated. If one of the Arrgi comes into contact with Link, it will do two full hearts of damage. After all of the Arrgi are gone, Arrghus changes its attacks and Link can finally attack the defenseless Arrghus.[4][5]

When Link battles with the Orange Arrghus in the Palace of the Four Sword, the Arrgi that usually surround Arrghus are replaced by the more powerful Green Bari.

Arrgi later appear in A Link Between Worlds playing a very similar role, surrounding the body of Arrghus.
