Bio

Current Life

Hello. I'm zeldahuman, sometimes referred to as ZH. My real name is Joey, if you were wondering (which you probably weren't). I currently live in New York, where I've been my whole life. If you didn't know already, I'm male. I love to blog, write code, and tinker with electronics. I also love using a freeware image manipulation program called GIMP. So, pretty much, I'm considered a geek to everyone I know. I don't mind though, because they're 100% correct. I'm still in school, and I love Algebra!

Interests

For whatever reason, I always want to know how things work. I'm constantly Googling how to do this or that; I crave knowledge. I love Soccer, and I hope one day I can watch a FIFA Soccer game in person.

Hobbies

My Plans for the Future

I hope to one day major in Graphical Design, and I want to work in the Media Arts. I also want to some day become a romance or fantasy author. Where my life's heading I'm not sure, but life is what you make it.

Zelda

It all started when I was 3 and my older brother handed me a Nintendo 64 controller. I had for the longest time sat on his lap and watched him play Ocarina of Time, and it was finally my turn to try it out. I wasn't very good, but my older brother showed me how to play and I started to get better. I slowly but steadily advanced through the game, and I beat the game on my birthday; the day I turned 7. Now, this wasn't 100%, it was simply a play-through. I went back to Ocarina of Time when I was 9 and did a 100% run, taking me about a year. Since that first time using the N64 controller, I've been addicted to Zelda. My Zelda addiction is what ties my brother and I together.

Over the course of my life, I've played every Zelda game except Four Swords Adventures and the Oracle games. The most recent games I've played are Four Swords, Ocarina of Time 3D, Spirit Tracks, Phantom Hourglass, Twilight Princess, Zelda II, and Link's Awakening. My Zelda addiction was taken to the next level last year when I had proclaimed myself a theorist. Finding explanations for objects and ideas in the Zelda universe makes me feel... cool (for lack of a better word). I like being able to have a structured argument with someone about a theory or idea partaking to Zelda, because it shows how dedicated you are when it comes to Zelda. Theorists have to know a lot about the Zelda series, not only as a whole, but when it breaks down into every individual game. You have to know the backstorys, remember every little bit of detail, and remember interviews with Aonuma- and Miyamoto-san. You also have to remember quotes that could help/hinder an idea... and it can get confusing. That's why, in my eyes, it takes a true Zelda Addict to be able to be a theorist. I don't know where'd I be without Zelda in my life... Zelda formed a bond between my brother and I that I don't and can't share with anyone else. Zelda has also made me think deeper into the little things we see, not only in the Zelda games, but in real life. Zelda, all in all, has made me a better person. Without Zelda in my life, I wouldn't be the person I am today.
