This particular shield isn't a soldier's shield, but a royal shield. I don't have all the know-how on how to change this chest so that it shows the correct piece of equipment, but I just opened the chest in my game, and it's a Royal Shield with a base defense of 55 and it has the stat buff of "shield guard up + 13".
