The  '''Strange Flute''' is an item found in both of the Oracle Games. At first when [[Link]] plays the flute, it will only play a tune and nothing else will happen. It is essentially useless until later in the game when Link meets [[Dimitri]], [[Moosh]] and [[Ricky]]. Depending on how the flute is acquired, one of the three will become a permanent animal partner that he can summon at certain locations in the lands of [[Labrynna]] and [[Holodrum]] and determines the landscape of [[Nuun Highlands]] in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages|Oracle of Ages]]'' and [[Natzu]] in ''[[The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons|Oracle of Seasons]]''.

===Oracle of Ages===

After beating the [[Moonlit Grotto]] and having Dimitri help him return to [[Lynna City]], Link has three choices on how to choose his partner. Be warned: once the flute is found, the choice is permanent. The same can happen if Link does not acquire a flute before he enters Nuun Highlands.

[[File:Dimitri_flute.png|left|20px]] Dimitri's Flute can be acquired if Link buys the Flute from the [[Lynna City Shop]] for 150 [[Rupee]]s. After checking the broken bridge, he has to find Dimitri in [[Fairies' Woods]]. He will then become his partner.

After beating [[Snake's Remains]], Link has the option to either head back to [[Subrosia]], go back to [[Horon Village]] or go straight to his next destination in search of the next [[Essences of Nature|Essence of Nature]]. Like in ''Oracle of Ages'', the choice is permanent once Link obtains a flute, or if he forgets to obtain it before entering Natzu.

[[File:Dimitri_flute.png|left|20px]] Dimitri's Flute is acquired if Link beats the [[Subrosian Dance Hall]] mini-game. Once Link reaches [[Spool Swamp]], he finds Dimitri being attacked by [[Moblin]]s. Paying 80 rupees will free Dimitri and will make him Link's partner.
