Sand Rod

The Sand Rod is an item in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. It allows Link to raise pillars of sand, which will allow him to find hidden secrets under sand or create walkways of sand to walk upon. When Link is able to first buy items from Ravio's shop he will notice that there is a card with a picture of the Sand Rod, but he will not be able to rent it himself because someone already rented it. Later Link will find out that this is Osfala, one of the seven sages, who Link sees turned into a painting by Yuga in the Eastern Palace. Once players save Osfala later on in the game Osfala will give Link the Sand Rod to be returned to Ravio. After he does so he is allowed to rent the Sand Rod for only 50 rupees or later buy it for 800 rupees.
