Ordon Shield

The ordon shield, as shown above, is the first shield you'll get in Zelda: twilight Princess. The shield has a very 'ordonian' look, as one might guess. The silhouet burned into the shield is one with a goat on it. That is not really surprising, since the goat farm is by far the most important business in the Ordon province. You'll find things that looks like a goat relatively often in the game

After you escaped from your jail in Hyrule castle, Midna tells you you should get a sword and a shield first. You need to steal the shield from one of the houses (the one with the waterrad) to get the shield. You still can't use your shield, because you're in wolf form on the moment you get the shield. You'll be able to use the shield after bringing the light back to the Faron province.

When you are a human, the shield can be used by holding the Z-button on the wii. While holding Z it will block almost all attacks from the front. Unlike in Skyward Sword, this shield can't break. The only way you can get this thing broken is to get them in fire. Considering it's wood, the shield will burn away. You can buy a wooden shield for 50 roopees when your Ordon shield is broken. The wooden shield looks a bit different, but is generally the same.
