'''Oracle of Ages''' revolves around Twinrova's attempt to light the Flame of Sorrow. Their subordinate Veran possesses and takes control of Nayru to disturb the flow of time, causing sorrow to spread in the land of Labrynna. Her actions combine two periods of time and change history. She seeks to increase her power by forcing the population of Labrynna to built a tower without any rest and by causing as much pain as she can. To stop Veran in her actions Link must obtain the Harp of Ages to take control over the flows of time. He also needs to obtain the eight Essences of Time which are needed to enter the Black Tower and fight Veran.

'''Oracle of Seasons''' follows Twinrova's attempt to light the Flame of Destruction. Their servant Onox seeks to kidnap Din and sink the Temple of Seasons to mess with the seasons of Holodrum, turning them into chaos. To be able to change the seasons, helping Holodrum to get back to its old being, Link must obtain the Rod of Seasons as well as the eight Essences of Nature to enter Onox's Castle and fight him.

== Linked Game ==

The Oracle Series have the unique ability to interlink using "linking secrets" or passwords. By using them, Link can meet Farore and obtain rare items which he could not get otherwise. This is also the way to link both games, resulting into one story as opposed to two alternate ones. To complete the entire series the two games must be linked together. Only this way you can defeat both, Veran and Onox, in one storyline which is the only way to encounter the Twinrova and defeat Ganon.
Playing the linked game will result in subtle changes to the plot. Also this includes the ability to meet Queen Ambi and her lover, the Captian (Oracle of Seasons) or the meeting of Rosa on Crescent Island (Oracle of Ages)

== Ganon ==

The main plot revolves around the Twinrova which are trying to revive Ganon. Therefore they need to light the Flame of Sorrow and the Flame of Destruction. The ultimate kidnapping of Zelda ending in the Flame of Despair to be lighten. The Twinrova intend to use those three flames to revive Ganon. Their plan is to sacrifice Zelda to be used as a vessel for Ganon. When Link saves Zelda, the Twinrova sacrifice themselves as vessels. Because this sacrifice wasn't part of the initial plan the rite fails and Ganon isn't resurrected as a ruler but as a mindless raging swine, seeking to slay and destroy everything. When Link defeats Ganon, he and Zelda escape the Room of Rites just in time before it collapses. This is the true ending to the Oracle series.
