SQUADALAH

SQUADALAH, also written as SQUADALA, is an iconic quote from the Philip CD-i game "Link: Faces of Evil". SQUADALAH is known by many fans of the Zelda series and has grown to become one of the most recongnized quotes in the series. SQUADALAH comes in a "pack" along with many other iconic quotes such as "MAH BOI" (The King) "I can't wait to bomb some Dodongos!" (Link) and "I'm so hungry, I could eat an Octorock!" (Link)

Gwonam is the one responsible for for the magic word, SQUADALAH. Gwonam, also know as "The Genie" or simply "The Weird Guy on the Carpet" is a main character of Faces of Evil and shows up at the beginning of the game. Gwonam rushes to the castle to tell Link and The King about the Faces of Evil and Zelda's Kidnapping. Gwonam invites Link onto his Carpet moments before muttering the iconic word, SQUADALAH.

No one knows for sure what SQUADALAH means or why Gwonam says it, bu there is key evidence that alludes to an answer. Gwonam says SQUADALAH right before the Carpet flys away from Hyrule Castle. This leads many to believe that SQUADALAH is the magic word is what commands the Carpet to fly. There is another specualtion though. After saying SQUADALAH, Gwonam says "We're off!". This could mean that SQUADALAH means "We're off!" In another language. Maybe even Hylian. RedDekuScrub 02:54, June 16, 2012 (CDT) RedDekuScrub
