Graveyards are very common, recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series, with nearly every game containing at least one. In some games it is called simply the Graveyard, like The Legend of Zelda or Twilight Princess. However, in some games the name is more specific like the Kakariko Village Graveyard in Ocarina of Time, or the Ikana Graveyard in Majora's Mask.

The Graveyard featured in Twilight Princess is located within Kakariko Village, much like it was in Ocarina of Time. The Gravyard Itself is located behind Renados house, the Sanctuary. This area seems to be deserted and due to state of the graves it may be left derelict. The graveyard itself is quite small but extending onto the back is a larger area containing a pond. This is where King Zora's Grave lies. Common enemies that reside within the area include, Guays and Shadow Keese. Both of these enemies will usually attack in swarms.

When first encountering this area Link is tasked with finding the sixteen Tears of Light by the Light Spirit, Faron. One of tears will be located in the graveyard, the Shadow Insect that contains the tear will try to hide underground, Wolf Link will have to dig the insect to gain the tear.

After saving Prince Ralis, Queen Rutela will appear outside of the Sanctuary. She will lead Link to a secret place behind the Graveyard, known as King Zora's Grave. Here she will remove the stone near the grave, allowing Link to obtain the Zora Armor, this was given by Rutela as a thank you gift for saving her son. The Zora Armour will allow Link to breath underwater for an unlimited period of time, which will allow him to access many new areas in the game.

After Link has completed the Master Sword quest, two Imp Poes will apper in the area at night. The first can be found floating around right in the middle of the Graveyard. The other can be revealed by pushing the first grave to the left, this will release the Poe.

Later on in the game, Link will have to investigate about a certain Snowpeak Monster that has been entering Zora's Domain. Link will receive a Sketch from Ashei, outlining the monster. Link returns to ask Prince Ralis about the Snowpeak Monster and the red fish he had taken from Zora's Domain. Ralis will tell Link it is a Reekfish, and give him the Coral Earring, the only bait that can catch the special fish. Once Link has caught the Reekfish he can in Wolf form learn the Reekfish Scent, this will enable him to traverse safely through Snowpeak.

Also, there is a Golden Bug located in the area. It can be found in the western area, crawling beside a tree to the back of the graveyard. It is known as the Male Ant. The Female Ant can be found in one of the abandoned houses in Kakariko Village.
