This shield is a more powerful version of the Fighter’s Shield as it can protect Link against fireballs shot from enemies. There are two ways to obtain this shield: 1) Purchase it in a store, OR 2) Exchange the Fighter’s Shield for this shield in the fairy fountain in Zora’s River.

Getting this shield is optional and is not required to finish the game.
