The Earth Sage can refer to two characters in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The original Earth Sage was a Zora named Laruto who sadly was killed by Ganondorf. Her spirit tasks Link with finding the one who will be the new Earth Sage, who turns out to be Medli, the Rito girl who gave you the Grappling Hook and helped you in the first dungeon on Dragon Roost Island. Link must play the Earth God's Lyric to awaken Medli as the new Earth Sage.
