The Compass is a dungeon items that locates the Boss and treasure chests located in the dungeon. However, every game it is in has a different use for it. It has appeared in numerous games, and is a very usefull item.
The Legend of Zelda
In The Legend of Zelda, the compass is used to find the location of the Triforce Shard that lies within the dungeon. However, in Death Mountain it is used to find Princess Zelda. It is usually found at the beginning of the dungeon, to give players a sense of where to go.
