The Fire Cephalopod is a mini-boss of Turtle Rock, the eighth dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. It is identical in appearance and behavior to Cueball, the mini-boss of Angler's Tunnel. The only difference between the two is that Cueball dwells and fights in water, while the Fire Cephalopod prefers lava.


Battle

The Fire Cephalopod's only weak spot is its fleshy backside. Link must strike the beast there with his sword, using the Spin Attack while equipping the Roc's Feather to jump over obstacles. The Magic Rod is also effective against the Fire Cephalopod.
