Theory: Just How Durable is a Goron’s Skin?
Posted on October 07 2019 by Kristen G. Rosario
It takes a lot to keep a good warrior down. And when it comes to the Gorons in Zelda, one needs a whole lot more to even remotely take them off their feet. Their main food take is rocks of all things! This Zelda race is more than capable enough to deal with any threat that comes their way, regardless of size. The question remains though: just how durable can a Goron truly be?
This is something that resident Zelda theorist Dr.Wily analyzes as he dives into just how strong a Goron’s skin can truly be. Wily looks into specific Zelda games that the Goron have been a part of and where they have demonstrated their tenacity. Examples include Dangoro from Twilight Princess, Goron Link & Darmani from Majora’s Mask, and Biggoron from Ocarina of Time & The Minish Cap. He excludes Daruk from Breath of the Wild, as it is not entirely explained how he met his fate to Fireblight Ganon. Suffice to say, Wily’s research basically states that it’ll take a lot more than a sword to keep a good Goron down.
