When Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U still reigned, a total of 4 DLC packs released, including new Adventure Mode Maps, New Characters, and sometimes even New Modes. With Hyrule Warriors Legends releasing, it’s been detailed already that it will include all previous DLC- and there may even be more on the way. But the question is, what could it be? Now that we’ve knocked some characters and themes out of the way, it will be somewhat difficult to find…

Are you a fan of trivia and random history? Do you love the music in The Legend of Zelda series? Then we’ve got a video that’s perfect for you! This week’s edition of DidYouKnowGaming? is voiced by SpaceHamster and features Zelda music. The video discusses facts, history, and trivia ranging from how the music was created to the music-themed characters, including Malon from Ocarina of Time and Pamela from Majora’s Mask…

ThatOneShowFUN‘s Austin, host of popular YouTube show Eggbusters, has released Part 2 of his Cross-Examination episode on Skyward Sword. This show is designed to not only educate people on how to properly criticize the game in question, but to also show people the best ways to criticize media in general. In Skyward Sword‘s case, there is a lot of stuff people tend to bash, so knowing how to judge it from an objective and fair way is important for those…

The Sheikah tribe is one of the most mysterious aspects of the Zelda franchise. We’ve really only ever seen two members of the tribe throughout the series, even though it is often implied there were many at one point. Impa and Sheik are the only members we’ve seen, so what happened to them all? That’s exactly what YouTuber Commonwealth realm explores in his latest theory. It explores where the Sheikah came from and their extremely interesting but unheralded history, connecting the handful of loose information we have together to make coherent sense…

We’re back with another episode of The Boss Man. This week I talk about motion controls in Skyward Sword and take on the Love/Hate relationship head on (spoiler warning… I love them). I also bring up our old friend Tom McShea, former editor at GameSpot. The magical robe you see me wear this entire episode, the “Robe of Destiny” (yes, I nicknamed my bath robe) can be bought for yourself for $80 at Merchoid (It’s actually on sale right now for $60). I personally got size large because I’m a pretty big boy, so even if you’re short but pudgy, consider going a size larger than the height says for each size…

Back at the end of June we shared a video from ThatOneShowFUN that talked about Skyward Sword and variable pacing – essentially that most criticism of Skyward Sword on the internet is inherently flawed in its presentation and before you can fully grasp how to talk about the game, you have to understand variable pacing. It was a very interesting video and in case you missed it, be sure to give it a watch before you enjoy part 2 today…

If you’re a die hard fan of the Zelda franchise like most of us, chances are you’ve played through most and if not, then all of the titles in the massive Nintendo franchise.

In this article, I will be introducing a new weekly series called ‘Goron Research Institute’, and exploring the rich history of the Faron Province.

Chris Slate and Chris Hoffman, ex-writers at Nintendo Power, are soon giving away a Skyward Sword Link figure from the World of Nintendo toy line via Twitter. Follow the Power Pros and retweet their tweet, and you could be the winner! They will announce said winner on August 11th, so hurry! Check out the tweet after the jump!

A couple days ago I started a bit of a storm when I stated that Tri Force Heroes‘ method of revealing itself was better than Zelda U’s. Of course, this is pure opinion and most of you were pretty quick to jump down my throat about it. However, I feel like the conversation itself got lost as I wasn’t talking so much about the quality of what we saw, but the method of delivery. Let me phrase this in a way that makes this make more sense for this debate…

When you purchase a new Zelda game, you can usually be guaranteed a few things. You will be flicking switches and pushing boxes, finding keys in treasure chests, and gathering items to complete dungeons and fight bosses. There will be grass to cut and pots to break. Link, a fair-haired lad clad in green, will be the main hero; Zelda a princess in distress; and some villain, 90% chance it’s Ganondorf, the one behind the trouble. We have questioned the longevity of Zelda conventions in Daily Debates before, and this time, we’re going to consider the Link / Ganondorf / Zelda triad…
