We have a slew of news pertaining to the New Nintendo 3DS thanks to some diligent work by our friends at Gamnesia. According to them, a high up member of the GameStop company has confirmed that they have received promotional material for the New Nintendo 3DS, though they are not allowed to put it out in the stores yet and they don’t know when it will be announced in the United States. Their computer system also states that the system will be released on February 13th…

Nintendodomination, a popular European based YouTube channel, has heard rumblings from an unnamed source that the New Nintendo 3DS will be release in Europe at sometime during February 2015. This really comes as no surprise since they have been selling an exclusive ambassador’s edition the last week or so. Clearly it is going to be released sooner rather than later for everyone else. What is more interesting is that there will be two New Nintendo 3DS bundles – one with Monster Hunter 4 and the other with Majora’s Mask 3D. They will only be bundled with the normal…

Via a tweet last Friday, Masahiro Sakurai has confirmed that Nintendo is releasing a Smash-themed console bundle for the New Nintendo 3DS.

Nintendo hasn’t confirmed exactly when this will be released or how much it will cost for any region; we can only hope it will be made available to North America and Europe when New 3DS is released next year.

This is according to the the Media Create sales. For those curious, Famitsu had them chiming in at 61,151 and 172,332 respectively. Either way it…

The New Nintendo 3DS has released in Japan today (well, technically tomorrow, which is today in Japan) and boast marked performance increases over the original model and 3DS XL. While there are some minor speed differences when it comes to navigating the OS and booting the systems up, by far the biggest difference is in pure download speeds. In a direct comparison a user on YouTube was downloading a demo and playing it for what felt like at least a minute or two before the old 3DS models finished downloading. When the download completed…

You’re reading that right: Australia (not Europe) is getting the New Nintendo 3DS this year on November 21st. The regular version with changeable face-plates will be priced at $219.95 AUD, while the XL version chimes in at $249.95 AUD. The customizable backgrounds and themes will also being going on sale later this year, though prices weren’t announced. Well, we now know of at least one exclusive feature Super Smash Bros. for 3DS will have on the New Nintendo 3DS. As it stands today, Miiverse cannot be used (or the internet browser) while playing the game on a regular 3DS (or XL). That means you cannot share screenshots on Miiverse or post to Miiverse while playing. In fact, out of the gate you will only be able to share screenshots by saving them to your SD card and then transferring them to a local PC. The New Nintendo 3DS is a totally different story…
