For the first time in a few weeks, the podcast is up at the right time! Well, sort of. We still don’t have a “set time” anymore. Regardless, here’s the 30th episode of the best Zelda podcast on Zelda Informer. Sadly, Nate could not make it this week due to some technical issues. His internet fried itself and he couldn’t record. Not to worry, though! We managed to get the awesome Rozen on the show again…

Happy Monday, everyone. I hope you’re ready for yet another entry in Zelda Informer’s weekly Caption Contest. Since featuring a Breath of the Wild screenshot during last week’s contest, our good friends at Nintendo have shared even more images from the anticipated game. Now, I obviously want to make use of these images, but it might take me a bit to collect them. So, for the sake of getting the contest out on time, I’ll leave you here with this silly Smash Bros. image this week, as we anticipate the BotW goodness coming our way next time…

Happy Saturday, you wretched hive of scum and villainy. I hope you’re ready for yet another entry in Zelda Informer’s weekly Photoshop Contest. This week saw the release of the newest tale in the Star Wars saga, Rogue One. The film promises an exciting space fantasy adventure with plenty of action, intrigue, heroes, and villains. Come to think of it; those are some of the very same things we love about the Zelda series. What would happen if the two franchises met? Let’s take The Legend of the Zelda to a galaxy far, far away this week, as well as check out the winners of last week’s contest: Unexpected Snowstorm in Hyrule

A Link Between Worlds came out back in 2013 and Breath of the Wild is landing in 2017. The fundamental difference between the two titles is that one was made for handheld, while the other was made for home console. Okay, so there is more to it than simply the platform choice. However, since A Link to the Past, top down Zelda games have almost always been exclusively created for handheld devices (save Four Sword Adventures). The reasons were rather obvious, as the hardware was going to have limitations compared to home consoles. That being said…

Hello! And welcome to Zelda Informer’s weekly Caption Contest. Anticipation for Breath of the Wild seems to grow just about every day. After the new footage we saw at the Game Awards, we’re finally starting to see a bit more of Hyrule beyond the Great Plateau. Making good on Nintendo’s promise, it looks like Link will have a lot of ground to cover in his next adventure. With so much travelling, our hero will surely need a reliable steed; the problem is he’ll probably have to break one first…

Yes, the podcast this (past) week is getting posted a bit late, but there has been some unfortunate circumstances behind it. First, we had issues with the video version, which ultimately lead to us nixing it entirely this week. Unfortunately a lot of editing time was put in by both Aflred and myself, even accepting a day or two delay to make it work out. Unfortunately it just didn’t happen. Then Alfred vanished so he could study for college (you know, that’s important stuff!), while I had my internet go out. Meanwhile, the actual Audio episode has been technically online at podcast.zeldadungeon.net since Friday. However, it was really hard to get it posted from my phone…

Hello, friends! Let’s get started with another Zelda Informer Photoshop Contest. The end of the year is just around the corner. The seasons are changing, it’s getting colder outside, and the winter holidays are almost upon us. Some places around the world are even expecting snow soon. We’ve seen such chilly conditions in parts of Hyrule throughout the years. But have you ever imagined what the warmer parts of Zelda‘s world would look like after a fresh snowfall. Let’s indulge that fantasy this week, as well as check out the winners of last week’s contest: Lettin’ the Dogs Out

Yesterday, we asked the question of what 2D Zelda game is your favorite. I saw a lot of love for The Minish Cap, while some fans clung to The Adventure of Link (which you really should play if you haven’t already). Today we pose a similar question—what is your favorite 3D Zelda title, and why? By the way, Breath of the Wild in its entirety is not an option. If you’ve been to E3 2016 or one of the other places the demo was available, you can pick that, just not the full game…

It’s always so tough to pick your favorite Zelda game. After 30 years, there are a lot of decent titles in the Zelda franchise. Picking a favorite was once described to me as being similar to “picking your favorite child.” That seems like an accurate depiction, I would say. Instead of asking what your favorite Zelda game is, I thought we would shake it up a bit and have everyone pick which 2D Zelda game deserves the most love. My personal favorite is The Minish Cap, and I know we have some Link’s Awakening DX fans out there…

About an hour ago, the Tonight Show gave us our first glimpse at Breath of the Wild running on Nintendo Switch. If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly suggest you watch it right here. Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aimé took out some Bokoblins with a boulder-induced explosion. The show’s host, Jimmy Fallon, was given the Switch to hold and let us see the game being played on the console’s handheld display. This is our first look at someone playing Breath of the Wild on the Switch, as the footage for the system’s reveal video…
