Who remembers the Zelda Collector’s Edition for the GameCube? Honestly, I still have mine from when I was ten! It was a great starter pack for anyone first getting into Zelda during the GameCube days. I especially liked it as my family missed the Nintendo 64 and jumped from SNES straight to the GameCube. That said, we were able to get our hands on Ocarina of TimeMajora’s Mask, and even play a demo of The Wind Waker over and over!

Thinking about that collection of epic Zelda games makes me wonder, though. What would be a great Zelda collection for the Switch? I know a lot of people are eager to see when The Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD will be ported to the Switch. Since those games have already had their ‘remake fame’ on the Wii U, I can totally see those being bundled into a collection so that customers won’t have to pay full price for both games, again.

A third game I can totally see being added to a collection is Skyward Sword. While I’d love for Skyward Sword to go through it’s own remake cycle, as the Switch is the perfect platform for it’s HD debut, Nintendo doesn’t seem to have much interest in a remake at this time. So I wouldn’t mind even the standard version being added to a Zelda collection with a tweak on motion controls to work with the Joy-Con.

I also know that many people would love to see the 3D versions of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask make it’s way to a console some day, but with my choices already being The Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, and Skyward Sword (Standard or HD) I feel like adding the N64 classics might be too much for a $60 price tag. Maybe the collection can round itself off with smaller games like A Link to the Past and The Minish Cap.

What do you guys think of my Zelda collection for the Switch? Do you have ideas for a better combination of games? As always, share your thoughts in the comments below!
