The Link’s Awakening remake is easily one of my most anticipated games of the year. Considering how extensive I played it to help train for last year’s Zelda Dungeon Marathon, I feel like I know most of the game inside and out. The characters, the music, and especially the story are what makes the game such a classic. That’s why I was so psyched when a few months ago, Nintendo unveiled that a remake was coming. While the art style…

Hey there, all you Zelda fans! Are you ready for another exciting edition of Zelda Dungeon’s Caption Contest? For the past few weeks, we’ve been alternating between screenshots from each of the two upcoming Zelda games, Link’s Awakening and Breath of the Wild 2. Last week, the contest featured an image of Link and Zelda looking cautiously at a terrifying sight. So to lighten the mood a little bit, let’s take a look at one of the most adorable pictures…

Fans in the UK who may want to spice up their purchase of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening are in luck, as there is currently a rupee lamp bundle available for preorder on the Nintendo UK Official Store right here. There are two bundles – one featuring a red rupee, and the other featuring a blue rupee. Both bundles cost £54.99. Unfortunately, preorders for both the standard Limited Edition and Limited Edition + Rupee Lamp bundles are currently out…

On November 4th 2004, The Minish Cap released in Japan, eventually making its way to Europe, America, and Australia within a matter of months. In a predictable move for a Zelda game, The Minish Cap gained the reputation as a best-selling title in multiple regions, garnering a handful of awards, and receiving an average review of 89.65% (aggregate score of GameRankings and Metacritic as of June 2019).  Soon, almost a decade and a half later, fans around the world will…

Getting to do something you absolutely love to do is a dream that everyone has. It’s one of the primary reasons I enjoy working for Zelda Dungeon. Having the opportunity to talk about one of my favorite game series of all time each and every day is a delight. Of course, getting to work on your favorite franchise is a whole different challenge in itself. Nobody knows how challenging it is to choose who should work on the Zelda series…

It’s pretty awesome that a classic like Link’s Awakening is being reimagined in HD for the Switch! I’d imagine translating a Game Boy title to bigger screens probably had its challenges, especially in how the developers chose to depict the game’s visuals. Weeks after E3, Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma expanded on aspects of the Link’s Awakening remake in comments made to Nintendo UK’s website. Aonuma brought up how he wanted to maintain the miniature feel of this Game Boy…

Fans of The Legend of Zelda, it seems, have always called for a dungeon creation or customization tool within the series. The release of Super Mario Maker in 2015 only made those calls louder, as the possibility of a “Zelda Maker” seemed that much more likely given Nintendo’s willingness to hand over the reigns to their flagship franchise. Well, we weren’t the only ones clamoring for such a feature, as series producer Eiji Aonuma has also wanted to see a…

We saw a lot of the Link’s Awakening remake earlier this month, thanks largely to Nintendo’s E3 offering. In addition to a new trailer revealing the game’s September 20th release date, the event also gave attendees (including the Zelda Dungeon team) the opportunity to play through Link’s Awakening‘s first 15 minutes. Our own demo ended right after we defeated the game’s first boss, but it seems other attendees were using their time in the game to seek out more obscure…

Greetings, Zelda fans! The Zelda Dungeon Caption Contest is on fire, so let’s maintain the heat with a brand new image. We took a look at a still from the Breath of the Wild sequel reveal last week, so we wanted to highlight another upcoming Zelda game with this week’s contest. Link’s Awakening comes out for Switch on September 20th, and it’s an adorable, adorable game. The character’s are just so expressive; just take a look at the scene below….

The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma recently sat down with Kotaku to discuss a range of topics, from the newly announced Breath of the Wild sequel to the upcoming remake of Link’s Awakening. Aonuma even opened up about the current work culture at Nintendo and his own philosophies behind overtime. Another key takeaway from the published interview was the revelation that development house Grezzo, the same studio that developed Tri Force Heroes and the 3D remakes of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s…
