Back in June, Nintendo hosted a special Super Smash Bros. Ultimate live presentation to highlight the newest fighter, Min Min, and to announce some other exciting happenings in the world of Smash Bros. During the presentation, director Masahiro Sakurai announced two new Smash amiibo figures — Joker and Hero — and he might have also hinted at potential redesigns for some older amiibo like Zelda and Ganondorf.

With the new amiibo releasing in North America on October 2nd, fans and news outlets have been keeping an eye on Nintendo’s support site for updates on production. Updates to the site’s Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) page indicate that the Hero and Joker amiibo are already in production, but eagle-eyed fans also noticed updates to a few other Zelda-related amiibo.

The CPSIA page on Nintendo’s support site shows that all four Breath of the Wild Champions amiibo — Mipha, Urbosa, Daruk, and Revali — have been recertified earlier this month, which suggests that these figures are receiving reprints in the near future. The listings all have updated manufacture dates of July 2020, so we may see reprinted Champions amiibo hit store shelves around the time of Joker and Hero’s release.

What do you think? Have you been hoping for another chance to pick up any of the Champions amiibo? Let us know in the comments!
