Awesome Games Done Quick Speedrunning Marathon Kicks Off Today, Will Feature Many Classic Zelda Games
Posted on January 08 2023 by Rod Lloyd
Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) is an annual speedrunning marathon in which speedrunners from across the globe come together to showcase their skills, beat games as quickly as possible, and, most importantly, raise money for charity. AGDQ 2023, which is raising money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, kicked off earlier today and will be running 24/7 all week long.
The Legend of Zelda has always had a strong presence at Awesome Games Done Quick, and this year’s event is no different. Among many new and classic games, the schedule for AGDQ 2023 features five different Zelda titles throughout the week.
AGDQ 2023 will feature:
- Ocarina of Time 3D Any% on Wednesday, January 11th at approximately 5:51 PM PST (8:51 PM EST).
- BS Legend of Zelda 100% Race on Thursday, January 12th at approximately 12:15 PM PST (3:15 PM EST).
- Skyward Sword All Dungeons on Thursday, January 12th at approximately 1:07 PM PST (4:07 PM EST).
- A Link to the Past 100% on Saturday, January 14th at approximately 4:37 PM PST (7:37 PM EST).
All start times are subject to change as the week goes on. Keep an eye on the entire AGDQ 2023 schedule right here for up-to-the-moment changes (all times are adjusted to your time zone).
The event kicked off this morning with an Any % speedrun of Splatoon 3, followed by an Any% run of Breath of the Wild. If you missed these runs, or if you miss anything else later this week, Games Done Quick typically uploads recordings of all AGDQ runs to their YouTube channel right here.
