Have you ever just been sitting there thinking about Tingle, wondering what his deal is? Of course you have, because Tingle is amazing! You probably went web surfing, saw some strange Tingle fan art, but couldn’t easily find any theorizing on Tingle. Maybe with persistence you turned up the works of Tingle Believer69, a long-time member of Zelda communities who is a bit of an enigma. From what little we know, Tingle Believer69 has spent a majority of his life…

Fairies in The Legend of Zelda are very unique characters whose personalities have evolved greatly with each installment. In the past, you could say they were helpful beings, wanting nothing in return. Link could enter a fountain and gain a new item, magical ability, or health / magic restoration free of charge. Things have changed a bit with Breath of the Wild, as Great Fairies now charge multiple hundreds of Rupees to enhance armor sets (the days of free rewards…

Hyper Light Drifter was a phenomenal Zelda-like indie-game release by Heart Machine in 2016. Earlier today the next installment of the series was announced, titled Hyper Light Breaker, slated for a Steam early access release of Spring 2023! Hyper Light Breaker will be a 3D game revolving around multiplayer, but will still be compatible with solo play. Notably, while the game is set in the same universe as Hyper Light Drifter, it is not a sequel: “Enter the Overgrowth, a…

Last week allergy season went into full swing where I live – the pollen was so bad that I was plagued with a sinus infection! As I laid in bed, having called out sick from work, I had an urge to play something to comfort me, so of course I picked a Zelda game! Now that I’m feeling better, I’ve been wondering what Zelda title other fans prefer when they are feeling under the weather? Having asked the question among…

Five years after release, Breath of the Wild‘s design still remains impactful for modern open-world games. Dan Callen, who worked as a level designer for Forspoken, an upcoming story-driven open-world action RPG, was recently interviewed and credited the influence Breath of the Wild has had on open-world design. Speaking to MinnMax, Dan praised Breath of the Wild for its vastly open-ended nature, even saying it’s the “holy grail” of game design currently. However, as influential as it is, he went…

March of the Koroks is finally here! The original idea by Zelda Creators Moderator TC (@VirgoTriangulum) was a collaboration of 900 artists to draw 900 Koroks, which would then be compiled onto a large canvas and posted on social media on Zelda Twitter Korok Day (which has become recognized as the 9th of any month among the Zelda Creators community). 231 artists contributed, and in the end, 463 individual Koroks ended up on the canvas (that’s more than enough for…

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, the latest installment in Bandai Namco’s long-running rhythm series, was shown off during the latest Nintendo Direct. This new rhythm title will include music from various different video games, like “Megolovania” from Undertale and, perhaps most excitingly, an orchestral version of The Legend of Zelda‘s “Main Theme”! Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival will launch on Nintendo Switch “later this year”. The base game will feature about 70 songs, as well new modes such as Great Drum…

It seems like every few months there is still something new discovered in Breath of the Wild, whether it’s a new glitch or just some other tidbit that was previously not in the public knowledge. While the “Impossible Arrow” has been known about for a few months now, nobody has ever been able to collect it until recently. Glitch hunter Luke Steelman, known as “LegendofLinkk,” was the first person to reach it, and he went to great lengths (literally) to…

If you live in the UK or Europe and have some My Nintendo Silver Points that you haven’t used, it could be time to cash in! The UK My Nintendo Store recently added a poster set featuring official artwork from Nintendo 64 titles! An Ocarina of Time poster is available, alongside posters for Mario Kart 64 and Star Fox 64! The set costs 500 Silver Points, plus a shipping fee. Sadly, the set is not currently available outside of Europe…

Every once in awhile we get spoiled in a Zelda game with an item or ability that almost makes the game too easy. I usually find such things to be a lot of fun if there was effort in getting them; like the trading sequence for the boomerang in Link’s Awakening DX, or gathering all the masks and then challenging the moon children to games to get the Fierce Deity’s Mask in Majora’s Mask. Even if there was no challenge…
