Daily Debate: What is Your Go-To Sick Day Zelda Game?
Posted on March 21 2022 by Charles Xavier
Last week allergy season went into full swing where I live – the pollen was so bad that I was plagued with a sinus infection! As I laid in bed, having called out sick from work, I had an urge to play something to comfort me, so of course I picked a Zelda game! Now that I’m feeling better, I’ve been wondering what Zelda title other fans prefer when they are feeling under the weather?
Having asked the question among a few friends in the past, I’ve been told The Wind Waker is a favorite for sick days because the art style feels vibrant and uplifting. I once had a friend tell me she likes playing Twilight Princess when she is sick just to get to Snowpeak Ruins to make Yeto’s Soup (and then wishes she had the soup herself)! As for me, my go to Zelda game while I’m sick is Ocarina of Time. In general I prefer games I’m already familar with while I’m not feeling well, that way there is nothing too mentally taxing going on with the experience. I’ve played Ocarina of Time maybe 50 times in my lifetime at this point, there is no other game that I know as well as it.
So what Zelda game do you pick when you aren’t feeling well, but still want to play a game in your spare time? Let us know in the comments below!
