Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, the latest installment in Bandai Namco’s long-running rhythm series, was shown off during the latest Nintendo Direct. This new rhythm title will include music from various different video games, like “Megolovania” from Undertale and, perhaps most excitingly, an orchestral version of The Legend of Zelda‘s “Main Theme”!

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival will launch on Nintendo Switch “later this year”. The base game will feature about 70 songs, as well new modes such as Great Drum Toy War, which will let you face off against friends, and DON-Chan Band, which will let you put on a live concert. There will also be a paid in-game subscription service which will give players access to over 500 songs!

It may not be the Zelda news we wanted, but I’m sure there are gamers who will be happy about this announcement. Will you be purchasing Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival later this year? Sound off in the comments below!
