Editor’s Note: This article originally implied that the upcoming live stream could be accessed by viewers outside of Japan. However, upon further inspection, the NicoNico website states that this broadcast can only be viewed in Japan. The article has been edited to reflect this fact.
Earlier this year, a string of special orchestrated concerts celebrating the music of the Zelda series were announced for Tokyo and Osaka, Japan. These shows will pay homage to some the series’ most important instruments — the ocarina, harp, and accordion — as well as introduce live arrangements of songs from Breath of the Wild. For fans in Japan who didn’t get the chance to snag tickets, the December 14th concert will be streamed live on the NicoNico streaming service.
The Legend of Zelda: Concert 2018 is scheduled for three dates in Japan. The first, featuring the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, will take place on November 22nd in Tokyo. The second, featuring the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra, will take place on November 25th in Osaka. The third and final show, again featuring the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, will take place on November 14th in Tokyo.
While tickets are no longer available for any of the three shows, it was recently announced that the December 14th concert, held in Bunkamura Orchard Hall, will be streamed live on the NicoNico streaming platform. The broadcast will cost 2500 NicoNico Points (approximately 2500 yen or $22.17 USD) for standard members, or 1860 NicoNico Points (approximately 1860 yen or $16.49 USD) for premium members. According to NicoNico, the broadcast can only be viewed in Japan. You can visit the NicoNico website right here for more information.
