Few birds are as beloved in the Zelda series as the Rito bard, Kass. His theme is nothing short of legendary in the fandom. The second the accordion trill hits the ears, it’s easy to smile as you mentally prepare for one of his famous Shrine puzzles.

Marcus Hedges, composer of The Marcus Hedges Trend Orchestra, put together a fanciful version of Kass’ theme worthy of a ballroom. It features Emma Kramer-Rodger on flute and Andrew Goodwin on guitar. John Elleson-Hartley helped with mastering.

It’s a swelling, full-bodied cover, where the solo flute cuts through in just the right way. This alongside the keys and guitar peppers the song with a few extra flourishes, making it even more magical. The track is short and sweet but intensely memorable, especially with its booming outro. The orchestra aims to help listeners “relive your adventures through music,” and the cover does so beautifully.

This captivating song is available on Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, and Pandora. The Marcus Hedges Trend Orchestra has also covered many other famous themes from Breath of the Wild, including “Mipha’s Theme” and “Hateno Village.”

If you’re itching for more from these talented musicians, they also have several albums dedicated to the Zelda series, including Hyrule Meditations, The Wind Waker Orchestrated, Hyrule in Half-Light (Twilight Princess Orchestrated), Ocarina of Time Symphony, and more. Be sure to follow them on YouTube and Spotify, or check out their website for even more impressive, nostalgic tunes.
