One rides a horse; the other rides a bird. One can turn into multiple races of people, the other has a talking sword… yup. We’re back with more of our Zelda Versus, and this time it’s the quite loved Majora’s Mask facing off against the beloved Skyward Sword! I can already tell people are just going to skip right to MM and choose it because they didn’t like Fi or the gameplay of SS.

So what will it be!? Which has the better soundtrack!? Fi’s Gratitude or Oath to Order!? Bamboo Island or Clock Town!? WON’T SOMEONE MENTION GROOSE’S THEME!?

As they said in the Highlander, “There can be only one.” So what is that one? Hell if I know. I mean c’mon, we wouldn’t be doing these polls if we knew for certain. We know the answers to this poll will change as time goes on, new games are introduced, and our biases change, but for now let’s see where we are as a fanbase. Last time we had The Minish Cap face off against Oracle of Ages, and the former came out on top. This time around it’s the other part of the Oracle duo, Oracle of Seasons, to face off against the first entry in the DS Zelda games, Phantom Hourglass. Remember, don’t judge the game as a whole, only its soundtrack. Hop on in and vote!

Last week Djinn wrote about how the state of music in the Zelda series has changed over the many years since its inception, and near the end of the article he spoke briefly of how recently the quality of Zelda music has drastically increased with the orchestrated soundtrack of Skyward Sword. And let me tell you, when I first played Skyward Sword that was the impression I got too: It’s so much higher quality. It would be a mistake in…

The music to Ocarina of Time is commonly considered one of the best video game soundtracks ever made. It is probably because of this that Nintendo released a soundtrack to the game exclusively on Club Nintendo in conjunction with the 3D remake release. The only way to acquire the soundtrack was to register the game on one’s Club Nintendo account to claim the CD for free. Although the offer was available internationally however, many missed out due to the very…

Marking the start of a new series at our sister site, GenGAME, Twilight Princess is posthumously  tested against its pre-release hype and how it stands within the library of Zelda games. The series, “Wii in Review” will tackle some popular Wii games now that the console’s six year life is coming to a close. The ultimate question in this review, however, is whether Twilight Princess was the legendary game that it should have been, or did its shortcomings prevent it from accomplishing…
