Among the many things shown during Koei Tecmo’s presentation at Tokyo Game Show, it was revealed that having save data for Breath of the Wild on a player’s Nintendo Switch will yield a special weapon in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Confirmed by a Nintendo of America, Breath of the Wild players will receive a “Training Sword” weapon for Link in Age of Calamity.
Although this is unfortunate for those who only played the game on the Wii U and thus have no save data on the Switch, it’s nice that some Breath of the Wild players will have something to look forward to in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. And like Lucky Ladle digital pre-order bonus, the Training Sword may become available as a paid item sometime down the road.
We’ll have to wait and see what other weapons make an appearance for Link and the other playable characters. What do you think? What weapon from Breath of the Wild would you most want in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity? Do you have save data from Breath of the Wild on your Nintendo Switch? Let us know in the comments below!
