Disclaimer: This article contains minor spoilers for Tears of the Kingdom The world of journalism is prone to blizzards of misinformation, and the video game industry is easily susceptible to the cold. When new-sites are hard-pressed for headlines that will get them traction, they are prone to read too much into quotes, not check sources, or report on something only for the reason that another news outlet reported on it. There are many instances of this in the Zelda facet…

Breath of the Wild is a game that boasted freedom in more ways than one, allowing players to navigate an open world, solve puzzles, and learn about Hyrule in their own unique way. The same was true of cooking. Players could experiment with various ingredients they had collected, and learn what would and wouldn’t result in dubious food. The Legend’s Cookbook has celebrated this culinary aspect of the Zelda franchise since their first release in January of 2020. A winning…

Zelda’s Adventure is one of the three infamous Zelda games released for the Phillips CD-i in the 1990s. Most of the time, Zelda fans like me try to forget that these games exist. One of the reasons I stand by my opinion that the Wii U was a good console is because, at the time, it gave me access to Zelda games I had never played before. Growing up on home consoles, games like The Minish Cap, Spirit Tracks, and even the original The Legend of Zelda were games I was able to play because of the Virtual Console feature of the Wii U. The Switch, in repeating this concept via NSO, has expanded…
