Nintendo Releases Detailed Image of Link’s Classic Outfit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Yesterday, Nintendo released detailed images of several alternate costumes for characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, including one for Link. This alternate costume bears resemblance to the Tunic of the Wild in Breath of the Wild, harkening back to Link’s design in games like the original Legend of Zelda and A Link to the Past.
Link throws back on his iconic green hat and tunic, with brown sleeves and some thigh hugging shorts to complete the look (did Link borrow those shorts from Robin and dye them brown in Hatano Village?). The art and design for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is extremely detailed; you can even see the seams/stitching in Link’s outfit under his shield arm if you look closely. The developers of Ultimate are clearly paying great attention to objects and detailed included in Breath of the Wild, like the Sheikah Slate and the new bow design. From this image, you can see an assortment of added details and tweaks that weren’t present in Link’s previous character model in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS.
This classic outfit was unlockable in both Hyrule Warriors and Breath of the Wild, so its exciting to see it get so much love in the past couple of years. It’s great to see it return in splendor for Smash!
