Trilogies are important to popular culture. Whether it is Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, there is something clean and elegant about three connected stories or related projects. While the Zelda series has never had a true trilogy, the Lo-Fi fan album series Zelda & Chill is closing in on its third and final entry, originally announced in 2021.
In a new tweet, producer Mikel revealed that Zelda & Chill III is releasing in October 2022. Mikel also shared a preview of one upcoming song as well as a piece of the album’s artwork.

The Zelda & Chill series has developed a solid following within the Zelda community in the years following its initial release in 2018. The follow up, Zelda & Chill II, was released in 2020, and it built on the success of the first album. Both of the previous albums contained 14 tunes from across the Zelda series, respectively, so it will be interesting to see if the third album follows this precedent.
