Saving Hyrule from the clutches of evil can be a stressful job, and even the most dedicated heroes need to take a break now and again. When you finally gain respite from fighting back Ganon’s hordes, it’s important to take the time to unwind and maybe throw on some relaxing tunes. Thankfully, these are always in supply for Zelda fans. Prolific hip hop producer Mikel has just announced the third and final entry in his lo-fi Zelda & Chill saga, with Zelda & Chill III slated to release in 2022.

Mikel announced the upcoming album with a brief teaser featuring a moody remix of “Hyrule Field Main Theme” from Twilight Princess. This fan favorite translates beautifully into Mikel’s lo-fi style, and it makes me curious if the nighttime theme will appear in the full arrangement. If this palate-whetting preview is any indication, this album will be another collection of brilliantly reimagined Zelda classics. I’m sure many Zelda fans can’t wait to break it out while studying, relaxing, or grinding out some armor upgrades in Breath of the Wild.

While no specific release date or track list has been announced yet, Mikel never fails to deliver with his Zelda remixes. Some fans may be disappointed at the statement that this is the end of Zelda & Chill, but there’s no denying that this trilogy has brought us many great tracks. Mikel has been featured on The Champions’ Cast discussing how he makes song selections for these albums.
