Zelda Dungeon is happy to officially announce the return of the Zelda Dungeon Marathon! The 2019 Zelda Dungeon Marathon will begin on Saturday July 13th at 9 AM Central through July 19th. The Zelda Dungeon Team will be raising money for the Extra Life charity in direct support of the Children’s Hospital of Illinois.

The Zelda Dungeon Marathon is an annual event held in July that began in 2012. Since 2012 Zelda Dungeon has raised over $30,000 for charity. The event consists of a week-long series of competitive races of video games from the Legend of Zelda series played by the Zelda Dungeon Team. During the event viewers are encouraged to donate to support the Extra Life charity which has raised more than $50 million for sick and injured kids since the organization’s inception in 2008.

Every mainline Zelda game will be played through from start to finish, some in friendly playthroughs, some in competitive matches using time saving tricks and strategies. In addition to the mainline Zelda titles, we play through several oddball spinoff titles, including the infamous CD-i games, Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland, and for the first time, Cadence of Hyrule.

Watch the event live on the web on Zelda Dungeon’s Twitch channel beginning Saturday July 13th at 9 AM Central. For more information visit the Zelda Dungeon homepage at ZeldaDungeon.net
