Japanese Card Game Retailer Furuichi Online Offering Deck Box as a Tears of the Kingdom Pre-Order Bonus

Ah, to live in a global culture. If the exclusive pins from GameStop Canada, the commemorative spoon from Amazon JP, or the luggage tag from Walmart Canada weren’t enough for you, another region-exclusive pre-order bonus for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is on the scene. Like the spoon, this one is exclusive to Japan through online retailer Furuichi Online. Furuichi Online, which sells collectible cards and video games, has announced that they’ll be offering a complimentary deck box with pre-orders of the upcoming Zelda title.
While there is no mention of the exact materials the box is made from, it’s safe to assume it’s probably the typical lightweight plastic most deck boxes are made from. Besides a really nice design, it also comes with two dividers with additional art and designs from the game on them. As someone who is known to dabble in card games and has access to Japanese markets, this is a tempting bonus; though given I’d receive a Japanese copy of Tears of the Kingdom, I’ll have to pass.
On the off chance you’re in the market for a Japanese copy of the game and want the deck box, a pre-order with Furuichi Online will run you 7018¥ plus shipping, which is about $60 USD. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases on May 12th, 2023.
