If you’re as big of a Zelda fan as I am, then you may have a soft spot when it comes to the series’ retro days — I’m talking about knowing all the hidden secrets in Link’s original adventure, geeking out over fun facts on the series’ early days, etc. If that’s the case, then you might like what Etsy creator RetroDesign3D has in store.
RetroDesign3D’s store is filled like Link’s adventure sack with models based on classic Zelda games, from The Legend of Zelda to Ocarina of Time. With maps of every dungeon from the original game, to miniatures of each different title’s worlds, it’s sure to tickle the fancy of many a retro Zelda enthusiast. There are also a small number of STL (stereolithography, technology used for 3D printing) downloads available, including the exterior of Link’s house from A Link to the Past and a dungeon kit with parts that can be painted and assembled in different ways to make your own original dungeon. Access to a 3D printer is required to print the STL files, of course.
This shop is really something special, and I look forward to seeing what creations they put out in the future. Chances are I’ll buy a copy, or two, or three of the dungeon kit to fulfill every Zelda fan’s dream and assemble my own. Most of the items currently in the store range from $36 USD to $58 USD. Stock is low on many items, though, so act fast if you want another fine addition to your collection. And, in addition to their retro designs, the shop also features a diorama of World 1 from Super Mario World, and a Guardian from Breath of the Wild.
What are your thoughts on these 3D creations? What would you like to see RetroDesigns3D make next? Let us know in the comments below!

John has been a Zelda fan for over 10 years now and is proud to say the series has had a major impact on his life (and wallet). After years of going to Zelda Dungeon for guides or the latest news on the series, John achieved their dream when they joined the writing team in 2019; John can hardly believe how long it’s been. A librarian, he loves meticulously arranging his library of Zelda games and collectibles. After what felt like an eternity of waiting for Tears of the Kingdom, John looks forward to the future of the Zelda franchise with enthusiasm, whether that’s the upcoming movie, a new spin-off/remake, or the next big game.
