DS Virtual Console on Wii U, Maybe More Games Announced At E3

Nintendo news collector NintenDaan has tweeted many details on Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, the first DS game to be released on Wii U Virtual Console in Japan. This could very well be an indication that Nintendo will announce more DS games on it at E3, including Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.
Hit the jump for several tweets with details on the game and how the console handles it.

It is interesting that this game was chosen as the first DS game on VC. Its orientation on-screen acts as if you are holding a DS sideways, like you do with the original game. This makes one wonder how other games will be oriented, whether they have both screens on one screen, or one screen on the TV and the other on the gamepad.

As you can see, the gamepad is very well-fitted for DS games. It should make for easy control and drawing.
The entire manual of the original DS game is all put on one page. #DSVirtualConsole https://t.co/ABS7cMaYKQ

Having the whole manual on one page seems a bit inconvenient, considering various sections divided up seemed perfectly fine in the past.

Well, this is weird. Why you would need to flip the screen is beyond me.
One question that I am getting is how big Brain Training/Age actually is on Wii U. Your answer is 55MB. User data is 64MB. #DSVirtualConsole

The sizes of the games themselves are actually almost the same as with the recent Game Boy Advance games on VC.
Brain Training availble only until June 30th on Japanese Wii U eShop.

Some sources say that the game will be available for download only until June 30th, but it is much more likely that it is only free until the 30th, after which it will cost a certain amount, but still be available.
The game also has a Miiverse community.
Iwata announced in January that DS games would come to Virtual Console, but nothing more has been said about it until now. Brain Age is free on VC until June 30th, so if you are in Japan, grab it soon. It is unlikely that a DS game would be released on Wii U so close to E3 without Nintendo announcing something about it at the event, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks being on the initial release list.
Do you think this will be mentioned at Nintendo’s E3 presentation? What games do you want to see on DS Virtual Console? Leave a comment!
