If you’re like me, you’ve spent days online refreshing tabs and tabs of retailer pages, trying to catch the next time the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL pre-orders become available. Maybe some of you have given up, like I’ve been considering doing over the last few days. With new retailers frequently being announced, it seems like our chances of snagging this beautiful new Zelda console would be increasing, but between Best Buy canceling orders and Play Asia holding off on opening pre-order sales, it’s starting to look a little hopeless.

Is it worth the stress of near-constantly refreshing of a whole slew of tabs? Is it worth the late nights, refusing to go to sleep because maybe if you refresh just one more time you might get your chance? Or does waiting for release day to see if it goes up for regular sale sound like a good plan?

As we know, there are no official statements from Nintendo telling us that the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL is, in fact, limited edition. As we’ve speculated, Nintendo may just be creating all this hype to boost sales. But do we want to take that risk?

On one hand, waiting to see if the console becomes available for regular sale would save a lot of hassle. Many of us have felt the pain of missing the pre-order window because we were understandably busy, be it at work, school, or whatever else. It really is stressful, wondering about whether or not sales opened up while you were away. Not only that, it takes up most of your free time, as well. There isn’t much else you can do when you’re glued to your computer, watching for your chance. Waiting to potentially buy it after its release would save you from all of that stress and free up a lot of your time.

On the other hand, there really isn’t any evidence to show that it’s not limited edition. It seems like waiting for release day would be pretty risky, unless the Majora’s Mask New 3DS XL isn’t that important to you. If you’d like to get one but aren’t too worried about it, maybe waiting is the right thing for you. Will you wait to see if the console becomes available for regular sale before getting one? Would you much rather just try your hardest to snag one of the elusive pre-orders? Does the stress of trying to track down a pre-order outweigh the risk of waiting? Join the Daily Debate!
