Even though Majora’s Mask 3D came out four months ago, it’s still selling like hot cakes and Nintendo plans to ride on that hype train until its last puff of smoke. Nintendo’s new summer commercial showcases gameplay of Majora’s Mask 3D, as well as various other games, in attempt to convey the message that “Summertime is playtime.”

Not only has Nintendo included gameplay footage of Majora’s Mask 3D

Do you remember heading west through a corridor in the Shadow Temple, only to be shut inside the room at the other end, becoming trapped? Do you remember the dark, ominous composition that played in the background as you tried to navigate your way through the Shadow Temple’s sick and twisted halls? I’m sure you do…

Remember that sweet Zelda-themed 3DS XL pouch from GameStop we showed off today? If you thought that was nice, chances are you’ll like this too: some Zelda-themed clip armor made for the New Nintendo 3DS XL.

What is clip armor you ask? Clip armor, simply put, is armor you clip on to your NN3DS XL. No joke, it easily clips on to prevent…

Remember that shiny New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Edition we all went nuts over a couple months ago? A handful of us were lucky enough to secure a pre-order, while others, like myself, had our pre-orders cancelled. Luckily, some die-hard fans were able to snag one on eBay (again, just like myself.)

Of course you remember it. It was all over this website for about a month, and the Internet absolutely exploded with mixed emotions towards Nintendo…

Select Best Buy locations around the US are holding a special event tomorrow (March 7th) at which visitors can demo certain New 3DS XL games, such as Majora’s Mask 3D, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Super Smash Bros. While this all sounds great and fun, visitors who bring their own 3DS systems will also have a chance to receive a special Eiji Aonuma Mii character. Head to one of the select Best Buy locations tomorrow and the Zelda producer may have a home on your 3DS forever…

GameStop is having a hard time maintaining stock of the New Nintendo 3DS XL, though it doesn’t appear to be their fault (or Nintendo’s). Still, they are setting aside some of the stock they have to offer a bundle which, arguably, doesn’t really save you any money at all. For $285 you can get a black or red New Nintendo 3DS XL with physical copies of Majora’s Mask 3D and Super Smash Bros. for 3DS along with a eGuide for Majora’s Mask 3D. Technically, you can call this a deal, since the eGuide costs $9.99. That or you can just head to the store and buy this all individually…

Update: We have confirmation that New Nintendo 3DS XL and amiibo are indeed affected by the strike.

For those unaware, currently the west coast of the United States is enduring a major labor strike at its ports. What this means is that trade good supplies slow to a crawl, as a labor strike causes shipments to sit idle, waiting for something to happen. This has been going on for months, where the ports were operating at 30% capacity – meaning roughly 70% of the staff were on strike. This past weekend, 100% of the staff went on strike, as the folks who own and run the harbor ports and shipping refused to pay holiday wages for working through Presidents’ Day. It’s unclear if the strike is still at 100%…

On one hand, Iwata is preaching to the choir. With sellouts at every outlet that offered pre-orders of limited edition New Nintendo 3DS XL hardware and games with folks also waiting outside of Target on launch day to pick up consoles that were on store shelves, it’s clear that the limited editions performed really well. There is a chance they could have performed even better if there wasn’t an ongoing strike on the west coast, which Iwata confirmed has affected shipments of the New Nintendo 3DS XL. This is exciting news, even if we don’t have any sort of exact figures…

IIf you plan on trading-in your current Nintendo 3DS for a New Nintendo 3DS from GameStop, be prepared to follow a somewhat lengthy process in order to transfer all your data to the new system.

An article by Polygon highlighted the process several GameStops reported customers will have to go through in Ohio. Calls to GameStop stores in Washington confirmed the process consumers must go through in order to trade-in their current 3DS for a New 3DS and keep their data . . .

If you were on the site a few days ago, you would know that the Red version of the New Nintendo 3DS XL is sold out at Gamestop. We have now learned that the Black version is sold out as well. This was very unexpected, at least to me, that a glorified upgraded 3DS would sell out before it’s release date mere days from now. Obviously the North American gaming community is very eager to get the latest in Nintento handhelds.
