Even though Majora’s Mask 3D came out four months ago, it’s still selling like hot cakes and Nintendo plans to ride on that hype train until its last puff of smoke. Nintendo’s new summer commercial showcases gameplay of Majora’s Mask 3D, as well as various other games, in attempt to convey the message that “Summertime is playtime.”
Not only has Nintendo included gameplay footage of Majora’s Mask 3D in their commercial, but our favorite hero in green also appeared in gameplay footage of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, in which Link uses his final smash to effectively KO Olimar.
It would seem that even though the next Zelda title might not be coming out until 2016, Nintendo isn’t afraid to showcase the franchise in other various ways until that new release. Would you say that this is an effective commercial? Does it make you want to kick back and play a game of Smash Bros., or revisit the doomed land of Termina? Feel free to tell us what game you will be playing this summer, new or old, that has to do with the Zelda franchise in the comments below.
