With the surprise release of a playable demo for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, excitement for the game’s November 20 release is reaching fever pitch. For folks willing to download the demo, players have been given thrilling look at the game style, combat feel, and early storylines.

For avid fans like myself, any additional news is welcome; getting to try the game before final release is a dream. I’m most eager to compare the feel of the game to Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition and to Breath of the Wild. While I’m a huge fan of both games, I hope Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity draws more inspiration form the latter. I’m ready for engaging combat that also deepens the narrative universe of Hyrule.

Not everyone wants more trailers and previews though. Many have expressed a fear that any further spoilers will simply lessen the excitement they feel on release day. Some folks would just like to wait, let the anticipation build, and dive all in when Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is finally available in full.

In the Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, which announced the release of the demo, it was revealed that progress made on the demo version will transfer over for those who have purchased the digital version of the game. For some folks, this will perhaps influence the decision to play.

Tell us what you think. Will you be playing the demo? Have you tried it already? What stands out to you so far? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
