Daily Debate: Why Do You Think Nintendo Have Kept Breath of the Wild 2 Such a Secret?

Sigh.
After having little to go on for the past year, I really thought that June would be the month when we would see more details on a certain upcoming Zelda masterpiece…but nope. The Nintendo Zelda news stream is running drier than the Gerudo Desert.
So what gives? You would think with the sequel to Breath of the Wild being slated for release next spring (less than a year now) that we would have a little more footage, or at least a title by now, right? Could Nintendo being hush-hush about this game mean that we are all in for some pretty big bombshells in the story? Some surprise character cameos from previous Zelda titles? Some full dungeon experiences that Breath of the Wild was lacking? Is the title in itself a spoiler?
The lack of information is killing me, if you can’t tell. But I’m sure with a little more waiting time, we will see what the constant, chirping Restless Cricket noise has been all about. We can only hope that we get some news soon so we can start speculating what kind of massive, epic, and unforgettable adventure awaits us in 2023!
Crossing my fingers that this wait and radio silence is worth it!
