Zelda’s representation in the Smash roster is kept relatively low frills, sticking with each of the Triforce’s champions, with Link padding it out with three of his incarnations. But whether or not Zelda is well represented in the Smash roster is a debate for another day.

What definitely is well showcased are the realms and locales of Hyrule, spanning everywhere from Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess to Skyward Sword and the most recent stage addition, Great Plateau Tower from Breath of the Wild. I personally love the Pirate Ship from Wind Waker, it’s a colourful, quirky stage that changes, offering new terrain and a few hazards to keep you on your toes. It might not be as linear or battle focused as Bridge of Eldin, but it’s great that the variety of Zelda titles are translated into a variety of very different stages. Temple will always be a classic to me; narrow passage ways, a treacherous cliff below, open skies where you can take the battle from a great distance to close quarters in a few seconds.

But what’s your favorite Zelda stage? What’s your least favorite? What stage doesn’t get enough love, and which stage is overrated? Let us know in the comments below!
